Kips Bay Designer Showhouse

One of the biggest honors an interior designer can get is to be selected to design a room for the prestigious Kips Bay Design Showhouse. From four blank walls and a raw concrete floor we created a calm and serene Reading Room complete with many pieces of furniture from our Shaver/Melahn Collection. The concept was to create a quiet, comfortable, meditative space with a garden atmosphere. Using calm watery shimmering walls, "weathered grey" cabinetry and reclaimed flooring from an Eighteenth Century French chateau we took a blank canvas and transformed it into the garden inspired reading respite we saw in our mind's eye.
